Day 1: 9/12/2014

 Arrive airport at Ho Chi Minh (HCM).Airport Taxis are located on the left part of the terminal, the cost to most hotels in District 1 is from 160,000 to 180,000 dong. Do not use USD as it is an opportunity to get ripped off. Please use only the two most reliable taxi company, Mai Linh, with car and van white and green, and the white Vinasun more frequent in HCM. If you would like to take a taxi (cheaper), turn right upon exiting the terminal and walk straight towards Burger King. Turn right and take the lift to second floor. Walk out and you will see the taxis.

If you want take public bus,  when reached Tan Son Nhat International Terminal. We exit from terminal and turned right to look for the bus to city.Just looked for station 13. The bus was just stopped opposite the station 13. The cheapest way is to take public city Bus # 152. You will see Burger King. The bus will be waiting around that area. Take bus no 152 if you are staying around Ben Thanh Market. Bus fare is around 5,000 dong per person.It takes you downtown to the Bus Station on the opposite side of the traffic circle from Ben Thanh market, at a cost of 5,000 VND + 5,000 VND if your luggage weighs 10kg or beyond. It runs every 20 minutes from 6 am until 6 pm.

If you need somewhere to store your bags for whatever reason. You will find a staffed luggage storage area, just near Burger King. You can leave your baggage there for as long as you need, cost is around 23.000 VND per hour.


Once arrive at bus stop at ben thanh. Get down from bus, left hand side you can see a park and Macdonald. Just walk cross the road, walk along the park.You can reach Pham Ngu Lao Street (Backpacker's area).

You can find a lots of agent traveller. You can buy ticket go to Mui Nie, Dalat, Siem Reap, ....

We decided go to Dalat today. So we bought 11pm (Malaysia 12pm) sleeper bus ticket went to Dalat with price 240,000 dong per person.
